Tap Portugal leads the field of airline transport in Portugal, besides, it is the member of Star Alliance since 2005. In case of a significant delay, namely 3 hours and above, cancellation or denied boarding, Tap Portugal commits to pay compensation to its passengers in line with the EU Regulation 261/2004. You have the right to request compensation from Tap Portugal as below.

  • Up to 1,500 km, compensation is 250 EUR
  • between 1,500 and 3,500 km, the compensation is 400 EUR
  • More than 3,500 km, the compensation is 600 EUR

In addition, you can claim for your additional expenses such as telephone calls, refreshments, transportation to/from airport and accommodation for longer delays.
