Condor was founded in 1955 by Thomas Cook AG in Germany. Condor’s headquarters are currently located in Frankfurt and the main base in Dusseldorf Airport. Condor is not a star alliance member. Ralf Teckentrup leads the company as the CEO. Its subsidiaries include Air Berlin Aviation GmbH and Condor Technik Gmbh.

Condor employs more than 3,000 employees worldwide and operates a mainline fleet of more than 53 aircraft. It has declared € 1,755,090,000 in revenue. Condor offers service to 90 destinations and they have carried more than 6.7 ​​million  passengers in 2012.

Condor’s fleet consists of Boeing 767 model aircrafts. The average age of the fleet is 17.1 years. The youngest aircrafts are the Airbus A321 at 4.0 years old.
